Encre de Chine - Indian Ink

L'encre de Chine est utilisée en histologie pour marquer de façon permanente les marges des échantillons de tissus, ce qui en fait un outil très utile pour les pathologistes, notamment dans le domaine du diagnostic du cancer. En microbiologie, il est utilisé comme coloration négative, colorant en noir une lame contenant des bactéries afin de voir si une cellule contient une capsule gélatineuse. Son utilisation est recommandée pour l’identification de Cryptococcus neoformans. -------------------------------------------- Indian ink is used in histology to permanently mark the margins of tissue specimens, making it a very useful tool to pathologists especially in the cancer diagnosis field. In Microbiology it is used as a negative stain, staining a slide containing bacteria black in order to see if a cell contains a gelatinous capsule. It is recommended for use in the identification of Cryptococcus neoformans.
